Physiotherapy also known as “Physical Therapy” is recognized by the “World Health Organisation” and being practiced at international level.

Physiotherapy can be defined as “a science which deals with the treatment through physical agents and other modalities” such as Heat Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Short-wave Therapy, Microwave Therapy, Ultrasonic Therapy, Electrical Stimulators, Electrical Massengers, Paraffin Wax Therapy, Infrared rays and Ultraviolet Units, Traction etc. on the basis of knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.

Government is fast expanding Rehabilitation Services in the rural ares.

These Physiotherapist are much needed also in community Health Centre, besides in private hospital and nursing homes. Services of these Physiotherapist are required entirely as super special Para-Medical branch of treatment which still lacks qualified personal.
